Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL)

At ÂÜÀòÉäÇø

ÂÜÀòÉäÇø values cultivating curiosity, which can be achieved through our research endeavours. Boyer’s model of scholarship introduced the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) as one of four categories of academic scholarship. At the CTLT, we aim to support and celebrate the SoTL conducted by our community.

The International Society for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning defines SoTL as "scholarly inquiry into student learning which advances the practice of teaching by making research findings public." Our students / learners are sometimes partners in the systematic inquiry about effective teaching and student learning.
