Quesnel and District Arts and Recreation Centre

Quesnel Arts and Recreation Centre

has a fitness centre, swimming pool, an art studio, an art gallery, and more. The aquatic facilities features a 6-lane, 25 metre swimming pool with a 1-metre driving board, slide, "Tarzan" rope swing, hot tub, steam room and sauna. South-Central students can access this centre for free with their U-pass.

Quesnel Visitor Centre

Visitor Centre

The  provides information on local, regional, and provincial attractions, events and so much more. They regularly update the  website, which includes information about local events and places to discover, play, eat, and stay. This website includes a feature to  to create an itinerary of things to do. To learn more, students can visit the Quesnel Visitor Centre during their hours of operation.

Community Resources

Quesnel Women's Resource Centre

 is a non-profit organization and a registered charity founded in 1981. The Centre is run by and for women and strives to be an inclusive and supportive space in which all women can discuss the issues that affect their lives and find the resources and support they need to make informed choices. The QWRC offers counselling to youth, adult individuals, families, and couples who need support with mental health issues, stress, addictions, and other daily life challenges, regardless of their race, ethnicity, religion, gender, age, social class, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, or other socially determined circumstances.The QWRC is located in a heritage home in North Quesnel. All services provided through the Women’s Resource Centre are confidential and free of charge.

Quesnel Pride Society

The Quesnel Pride Society is a safe, supportive and empowering home for the local LGBTQ+ community in Quesnel, B.C. They offer monthly Youth and Adult in Transition Support Group meetings through Accessible Counselling.

Northern Health's Junior Volunteer Program

Northern Health offers a for young people, aged 16 to 19, who have a passion for patient care. Junior volunteers devote themselves to a two hour shift per week and optional special projects, under the direction of a supervisor.
