Unofficial Transcripts

Unofficial transcripts are transcripts that an applicant has opened, obtained electronically, or has had access to.  For the purpose of the ÂÜÀòÉäÇø online application, applicants are required to upload unofficial transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended to their application so they can be used for evaluation. Your uploaded document MUST include the front and back scan of each transcript page. Failure to scan the back of the transcript will result in delays in processing your application.

Applicants who have or are currently attending ÂÜÀòÉäÇø must upload a copy of their unofficial transcript at the time of admission application. To obtain a copy of your unofficial ÂÜÀòÉäÇø transcript, please log into your . Click on Student Records and select Unofficial Transcript. You can then print this to a PDF document.

You will be required to have official transcripts sent directly from the issuing institution if admitted.

Listing all Post-Secondary Institutions

If you are listing multiple institutions, please list your most recent first (including any from which you have a degree credential). If you need more room to list all of the post-secondary institution you've attended, please email the ones that you were unable to list on the online application to graduate-admissions@unbc.ca with the subject additional institutions. Remember to include your User ID within your email message.

Official Transcripts (required upon offer of admission)

Official transcripts are those that the applicant has:

  • Either requested be sent from their post-secondary institution directly to ÂÜÀòÉäÇø, or
  • Ensured that the post-secondary institution has sent them one which has remained in the sealed institutional envelope it was provided in.

Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions are required, no matter how long it has been since you attended and even if the coursework was not completed or a degree was not awarded. Failure to do so may result in your admission being denied, an admission offer rescinded, or removal from a graduate program. Official transcripts should be sent to:

University of Northern British Columbia
Office of the Registrar, Attn: Graduate ÂÜÀòÉäÇø
3333 University Way
Prince George, BC V2N 4Z9 CANADA

ÂÜÀòÉäÇø Graduates & Former Students

If you graduated with a degree from ÂÜÀòÉäÇø, or are a current or former ÂÜÀòÉäÇø student, you must upload an unofficial copy of your ÂÜÀòÉäÇø transcript for admission adjudication purposes. However, you do not need to submit an official ÂÜÀòÉäÇø transcript if offered admission as we have it on file.

Exchange Programs

For students who completed an exchange program through their home institution, you will need to supply a transcript for each post-secondary institution, including exchange institutions. In most cases, when an exchange is noted on a home institutions transcript, the individual grades received at the exchange institution may not show. (i.e.: If you finished your Bachelor's degree at the University of Victoria (UVIC), but during your studies at UVIC you attended the University of Tromso in Norway for an international exchange, you would need to supply both a transcript from UVIC and one from the University of Tromso as part of your application to graduate programs at ÂÜÀòÉäÇø).
