Mask Requirements at ÂÜÀòÉäÇø campuses and facilities

Keeping in line with Dr. Henry’s advice, masks are not required at our campuses and worksites. However, we strongly recommend that you continue to wear masks in all indoor public areas, including classrooms, laboratories, lobbies, hallways, stairwells and elevators. We also encourage you to be thoughtful and respectful of others’ choices in this regard.

Recommended Mask Types

  • Certified respirators such as N95, KN95 or CAN95.
  • Certified medical masks such as ASTM F2100 and EN 14683.
  • Three-layer non-medical disposable masks.
  • Cloth masks (made from three layers of tightly woven, breathable fabric).

The BCCDC and Health Canada state that masks should be well constructed, well fitting and worn properly and our recommendation is that you choose the mask that provides you the best protection, whichever that may be.
