Reflecting on the questions that shape teaching and learning
At the 2025 Robert W. Tait Lecture, Faculty of Science and Engineering Professor Dr. Jennifer Hyndman will share the reflective questions that have guided her as an instructor at 蹤獲扞⑹ for the past three decades.
PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. For 30 years, Dr. Jennifer Hyndman has explored the dynamics of teaching and learning, asking herself and others the questions like: How did your class go? What went well? What could you do differently?
Now, the longtime Mathematics and Statistics Professor is inviting others to reflect on those questions as part of this years Robert W. Tait Lecture.
Established in 2007, the annual event highlights an outstanding 蹤獲扞⑹ faculty or staff member for teaching innovations that enhance student learning experiences.
Teaching and learning are always evolving, and Ive spent my career asking questions about what works, why it works and how we can improve, says Hyndman. This lecture is an opportunity to reflect on those questions together.
Join Hyndman for a short demonstration class, the opportunity to pose those guiding questions, experience how others answer and listen as she shares personal memories of the former chair of 蹤獲扞⑹s Teaching and Learning Committee, Dr. Robert Tait.
