Dr. Margo Greenwood appointed to Senate of Canada

蹤獲扞⑹ Professor Dr. Margo Greenwood will bring her expertise to Parliament as a Senator.

Longtime University of Northern British Columbia Professor Dr. Margo Greenwood has been appointed to the Senate of Canada. 

I am honoured to be appointed as a Senator and look forward to contributing to the work of the Senate in an independent and non-partisan way, Dr. Greenwood says. My contribution to the Senate is grounded in my commitment to the health and well-being of all people, including Indigenous children and families. Im proud to bring all of my lived experience to this work.

Dr. Greenwood joined 蹤獲扞⑹ in 1997, serving in several roles. She is the Academic Director of the . Recently she became the Interim Scientific Director of the with the .

The entire 蹤獲扞⑹ community is celebrating with Dr. Greenwood on this tremendous achievement, says 蹤獲扞⑹ President Dr. Geoff Payne. For 25 years, Dr. Greenwood has been one of the difference makers in our community. Now that shes joining the Senate of Canada, the rest of the country will benefit from her extensive knowledge, wisdom, commitment to research and advocacy.
