To confirm attendance to the Prince George Campus Convocation Ceremonies, you must submit an online RSVP by May 1. To confirm the Faculties and Degree Programs in each Ceremony reference the Convocation Ceremony Schedule by Faculty and Degree Program.pdf
For faculty who are also Board of Governor or Senate members, you may wish to be included in the VIP section. Please indicate this within the "Is there anything else you would like us to know?" section of the RSVP. Please also indicate accessibility needs (i.e. use a wheelchair/walker, require elevator access, etc.) in the same section.
Procession and Interaction with Graduands
The faculty procession begins with gowning in the Northern Undergraduate Students Centre (NUSC) Event Space (6-250 and 6-252). Once gowned, faculty will gather at the top of the Agora Courtyard steps to greet the graduand procession, which they will follow to the Northern Sport Centre and into the gymnasium to be seated for the Ceremonies. This is a ÂÜÀòÉäÇø tradition and an exciting time when high-fives and celebratory whoops are encouraged!
On the day of the Ceremony, please plan to arrive at the NUSC Event Space (6-250 and 6-252) one hour prior to the start time of the Ceremony (or Ceremonies) that you are attending. A Faculty Marshal will provide assistance with gowning and assembling faculty into processional lines. Light refreshments will be available.
Note: It is recommended that you leave personal items such as purses and coats in your office.
Schedule and Seating
An itinerary with Ceremony information and instructions will be emailed to you in May.
