The Career Centre is excited to announce the launch of our Industry Events for the upcoming academic year, and we would like to invite you to collaborate with us in this initiative.
Each event may slightly differ in offering, and could include a panel discussion, where industry leaders share insights and experiences, followed by networking opportunities and tabling sessions to facilitate direct interactions with students. This format is ideal for building meaningful connections, discussing industry trends, and scouting future talent in a focused setting. Light refreshments will be provided to create a welcoming atmosphere and encourage engagement throughout the evening.
Please note: Industry Event registration for employers involves a fee, which provides a valuable opportunity to connect with our students. The funds raised will be used to support and expand experiential learning opportunities for students on campus.
Our Commitment:
The Career Centre will handle all aspects of planning and logistics, including:
• Event planning and booking
• Coordination of logistics
• Arranging food and refreshments
• Booking industry partners
• Securing sponsorships
• Advertising the events
• Funding all associated costs
Your Involvement: We recognize that many faculties and programs already run annual career nights. We would love to collaborate with you on these initiatives to enhance their impact and help lighten your load! By partnering with us, you can leverage our resources and support to create a seamless and enriching experience for your students.
We are excited to propose the following Industry Events and schedule for 2024-2025. While the themes are not finalized, we have aimed to capture a wide range of industries to ensure that students from every faculty and program can engage with relevant professionals and businesses. We are open to suggestions for themes/titles that better align with specific industry and program areas, but please note that we do not have the capacity to host additional industry nights this year. We have ensured that each program area has at least one industry night that suits their students, with most program areas having two or more applicable industry nights.
