Spotlight: Occupational Therapist

Advanced (more than 4 years)

An occupational therapist helps people to develop or restore the skills they need to do everyday activities in their life, which may have been affected by injury, disability, or illness. Skills affected can include activities related to self-care and living independently, recreation or work life.

Education

Individuals who wish to apply for a graduate program in Occupational Therapy must first complete a four-year bachelor program. They can then pursue a two-year (or equivalent) Master’s degree program in occupational therapy.
