Event summary
Elder Joan Morris, a residential school survivor, will speak about her lived experience being sent to the Nanaimo Indian Hospital after assaults faced as a student at Kuper Island Residential School. Her son, Cyril, will also present and speak to the generational trauma as well as his grandfather's one day experience out of the years at Nanaimo Indian Hospital. The presentation will end by a ceremony performed by Elder Morris.

- The presenters will be virtual, but we will have a physical location at 萝莉射区 for people to come together to watch, listen, reflect and support each other.
The title of the cultural truth telling being shared is x虒蓹x虒蓹 h蓹uist蓹艐 (sacred honor).

Because of the assaults she faced as a student at KIRS she was often hospitalized as she suffered from the beatings of Sister Superior (children were sent from Kuper Island Residential school to Nanaimo Indian Hospital for many reasons, even if the children had no ailments or sickness).
